Kimberly's Creatures began as a quest to find something to do with my step daughter. I thought, "what kid doesn't like paper mache". This quickly grew into a passion on my part, while my younger counterpart is more talented at singing.
While searching for ideas and projects to do, I came across Dan Reeder's website: gourmetpapermache.com. I credit my inspiration and techniques to Dan. The versatility and strength of the mache medium is endless. Who knew paper could become anything you can imagine! Much of the supplies I use to create these pieces are recycled materials: news paper, wire hangers, linens and packing material-air pillows. All of my pieces are up for adoption. These are all unique, one of a kind sculptures. Please contact me if you are interested in sharing your home or business with one of these colorful Creatures. |
